2007 or Wait For 2008?

When an auto manufacturer creates a new model, those vehicles typically have many issues when first released. I have started to face a dilemma in my mind that I just can’t make a decision on. When the 2007 Jeep Wrangler is released this fall, should I be an early adopter, or should I wait until the 2008 Jeep Wrangler comes to market?

I was able to find this page, which overviews the reliability of 1997 – 2005 Jeep Wranglers. It seems that Jeep did handle the transition fairly well from the YJ to the TJ, but I could be mistaken. If I am, please correct me.

The other thing that I was considering, would be to go to a Jeep dealership after the 2007s have been released and try for a great deal on a 2006 TJ. That would save me a lot of money for sure. More than likely, I will be paying for this Jeep on my own. The [donations] have been a great help, but raising $30,000 may not be realistic.
