Jeep CJ5 wiring diagrams seem to be hard to come by.
Haynes manuals publish Jeep Wiring diagrams and so does Chiltons, but the comments and reviews I have been reading suggest that they are sub-par at least as far as CJ5 wiring diagrams go.

The consensus seems to be that they are adequate for trouble shooting electrical problems, but not really sufficient if you are starting from scratch. What you really need is proper wiring diagram specific to the model and year that you are working with.
I did manage to chase down a wiring diagram for a 1978 Jeep CJ series (CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8). I hope these are helpful to some of you!
This is the key to the wiring diagram – shows all the colours and gauges of wire that are referenced in the actual diagram.

She’s only entertained for about ten minutes at a time and doesnt really have the hand-eye coordination to play with any of the toys, but I sit her in it and she just stares, amazed I cant wait to see how much better she likes it when she understands it more!!!
